What Your Spine Surgeon Hasn’t Told You . . .
Are you suffering from a herniated disc or sciatic nerve pain? Have you considered surgery? Have you tried everything? You may be surprised by what the research says.
In a recent study, performed by the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, found that “most patient who were considered surgical candidates for the treatment of radiculopathy (Sciatica) from a lumbar disc herniation improved with standardized spinal manipulative care (Chiropractic adjustment) to the same degree as those who had undergone back surgery. ALL candidates had already tried and failed other conservative treatment options like injections, Physical Therapy, Accupuncture and massage for at least 3 months. Of those who failed spinal manipulative care, subsequent surgical intervention provided excellent outcome. What does this research tell us? Everyone (except those exhibiting red flags like weakness, decreased reflexes and/or bladder dysfunction) should try Chiropractic care before turning to surgery.
One other alternative to standard conservative care is called Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy. Learn more by clicking here
